Earlier this year I took a couple of months off to travel, reflect and recalibrate. This meant pressing pause on routines - including my monthly podcast wrap. But now I’m home and back into the rhythm of life, podcasts have once again taken their place in my morning routine.
Analytics tell me you love seeing what I’m tuning into - so I’m back with my top picks for June. Last month was a blend of human stories and thoughtful discussions - likely a reflection of how travel, particularly to developing countries has again grounded me.
The YOU Project - “The Larrikin Paramedic” with Scott Douglas
Two part episode | A recent find
Scott Douglas shares raw, funny and deeply human stories from his varied roles from Paramedic to Mines Rescue Trainer. This one is a good reminder that some of the most meaningful experiences come from everyday moments. Scott’s positivity is infectious and his resilience and willingness to jump into new things sure is something to be admired. A podcast I’ve shared with my brother - so a good listen to the gorgeous boys and men in your life as well! Feel Better, Live More - “How to Reconnect With Your True Self & Live With Purpose” with Kirsty Gallagher
Reconnect with yourself | This pod is always in my rotation
Dr Ragan Chatterjee is the GOAT when it comes to creating striking, practical and grounding conversations. In this episode Dr Chatterjee and Kirsty delve into how we can find more meaning in everyday life, learning through experience and how to identify our purpose. This one felt particularly relevant for me the week I listened to it. If you’re at a crossroads whether a change in career, business direction or personally Kirsty poses a great question to ask yourself: what would it take for me to change my life vs what would it take for me to keep going the way things are going?

Diary of a CEO - “The Feminism Debate: Is Feminism Betraying Women?”
Thought-provoking and layered | Another podcast I return to weekly
This is a complex, bold conversation that challenges assumptions and encourages us to think deeply. Steven moderates discussion between Deborah Frances-White, Louise Perry, and Erica Komisar, who debate the impact of modern feminism on women's lives. What does it mean to ‘have it all’, what is the parenting crisis and what are the impacts of the sexual revolution - this podcast covers some controversial topics in a respectful and well informed way.
